Jonathan Blezard
A creative voice shaped at the crossroads of art, craftsmanship and cultural heritage, Jonathan Blezard collaborates with the House of Hermès, contributing to its educational ecosystem through specialised programs that uphold the maison’s legacy of excellence. His work reflects the same sensitivity to detail, narrative depth and elevated aesthetics that define the world of high luxury.
Based between Beirut and Paris, Jonathan is an illustrator, visual artist and luxury design consultant. He is a graduate of La Cambre, one of Europe’s most prestigious visual arts institutions, where he earned both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Graphic Design and Illustration — a dual foundation that gives his work intellectual depth and artistic refinement.
Jonathan began his career in Portugal, exploring book design and concept development, before returning to Lebanon. There, he spent seven years shaping visual narratives for high-end architectural and graphic projects, collaborating with leading companies including Solidere. His practice extends across Saudi Arabia, where he contributed to significant developments such as Wadi Qortuba and the Golden Tower, bringing a contemporary luxury aesthetic to culturally rooted environments.
His academic footprint is equally distinguished. He taught Drawing and Design for six years at the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts (ALBA) in Beirut and has been invited to lecture at respected institutions such as NCA in Lahore and École Duperré in Paris. His role within Hermès further elevates his reputation as a creative educator within the luxury sphere.
Jonathan’s artistic research expands into material culture through a three-year ceramic and porcelain exploration developed with Beit Trad, which later evolved into his own refined collections under the brand Blezard.
His illustrations appear in leading international media — The New York Times, The Guardian, Le Monde, Libération — and his graphic design work has supported institutions such as the European Union, the Institut Pasteur, and the Red Cross. He has also contributed to identity, creative workshop and experience-design projects for Hermès.
Deeply connected to the Arab world, Jonathan has spent more than fifteen years travelling across Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, the Maghreb and the Arabian Peninsula. The region’s symbolism, visual traditions and historical depth form a vital part of his creative identity, continually informing and elevating his artistic vocabulary.
